A former real estate agent, Don Burton founded Evergreen Home Loans™ in 1987 with this idea: that his business would be one that delivered what was promised with no surprises. More than 30 years later, Don is still at the reins, and Evergreen has grown to become one of the leading home loan originators in the country with 64 branch offices blanketing the western United States.
Don’s long tenure as a team leader is a rarity in an industry in which executive turnover is all too common. A visionary by nature, he is as passionate as ever about the home loan business, and he is eager to share his vast knowledge of mortgage banking with his team and customers.
Don has served as a board member of the Washington Mortgage Bankers Association and has served three times as the association’s president. He is a familiar face in Washington, DC, where he champions for industry reforms that would make it easier for prospective homebuyers to finance their dreams.
Teri Hermann directs all risk management and regulatory compliance for Evergreen Home Loans while also overseeing audit management, quality control, and information security. A 23-year veteran of the mortgage industry, Teri held positions in finance and banking prior to her 18-year run at Evergreen, and her wide-ranging expertise extends to many areas of the business.
With an extensive mortgage banking background, David Floan directs all sales origination channels, along with activities and strategies for distributed sales, lead generation, business planning, strategic alliances, P&L management, marketing and recruitment. His experience includes executive positions in production and operations and roles in secondary marketing, investor relations, underwriting, training, compliance, quality control, and risk management. David holds a bachelor of arts degree in business administration and management from Washington State University.
As chief financial officer, Debra Johnson brings more than 25 years of financial services experience to Evergreen Home Loans. A well-known leader in the mortgage and banking community, Debra strengthens our culture and commitment to providing affordable lending solutions for our customers. A board member of the Coal Creek Family YMCA, Debra holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Western Washington University and a graduate-level degree from Pacific Coast Banking School.
Tamra Rieger serves on the Executive Team of Evergreen Home Loans as the EVP of Loan Fulfillment and is responsible for the overall customer experience both internal and external. In her role, she oversees secondary marketing, construction lending, processing, underwriting, funding and post-closing. In addition, she champions business intelligence tools with dashboards and reporting to provide real-time metrics to the management team. She directs technology initiatives including driving loan origination system efficiencies to implementation and adoption of a Digital Mortgage experience for Evergreen customers. Tamra holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington and has 23 years of experience in mortgage lending, holding positions as VP Operations, VP Secondary Marketing and SVP Capital Markets.
Todd Miles is the Evergreen Home Loans regional manager for Southwest Washington, Oregon, California, and Idaho. With 27 years’ experience in leading, coaching, and shaping sales teams, he and many of the loan originators under his management are members of the Evergreen President’s Club, which honors top performers within the company. Prior to his role at Evergreen, he co-owned Alliance Mortgage and held regional managerial roles for HOME123, RBC Mortgage, and Sterling Capital. Todd holds a bachelor of arts degree in business and finance from Western Washington University and resides in Vancouver, Washington.
In his role as vice president and regional manager, Don Zender oversees branches in Bellevue, Federal Way, Northgate, Gig Harbor, Proctor, Tacoma, and Marysville as well as the offices in Arizona. With nearly 30 years of experience in the finance and home lending business, he has successfully closed more than $2 billion in home loans. An industry spokesperson and writer, he earned the status as a Top 100 Lender by Mortgage Originator magazine, and he has also been recognized as one of the top 10 FHA lenders in the country. Don has been a member of the Evergreen President’s Club since its inception and is a graduate of Western Washington University.
With over 20 years of human resource management experience within the home financing industry, over half with Evergreen, Jessie Hibbard is an accomplished professional who is well versed on the challenges and opportunities specific to the mortgage industry. Prior experience includes overseeing facilities, IT, licensing and all aspects of Human Resources. In her current role as vice president of Human Resources, Jessie oversees employee relations, benefits administration, systems management, and compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws and best practices. Jessie is an alumni of Washington State University.
As a 25-year veteran of the mortgage industry, David McFadden has wide-ranging duties at Evergreen Home Loans that include oversight of daily rates, pricing, loan sales, program availability, and mortgage pipeline hedging. He blends secondary marketing insight with a keen knowledge of the lending industry to create programs and services that cater to the diverse needs of our customers. David holds a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Montana and lives in Duvall, Washington.
With her 18 years of marketing experience within the home financing industry, Jeanne Corvese Hussin shapes the company’s brand and marketing strategies and fuels the creation of scalable marketing technology solutions. Prior to joining Evergreen, she created a fully customizable CRM platform for loan officers while working as a senior vice president of marketing at the nation’s largest mortgage banking company. Jeanne holds a bachelor of science degree in mass communications from Towson State University.
Joe Moley oversees the Evergreen loan servicing portfolio while directing loan boarding, cash management, escrow management, and investor reporting. In addition, he maintains subservicing relationships and handles loss mitigation and borrower outreach. He has extensive experience as an executive in the financial and home loans industries, including roles as chief financial officer, chief operating officer, and construction department manager. Joe also offers an educational background in professional writing, computer programming, marketing, and accounting.
Regina Angulo oversees all phases of human resources activities for Evergreen Home Loans, including recruiting, retention, staffing, organizational development, performance management, compensation, payroll, benefits, and policy. She has special expertise in the areas of talent acquisition, employee relations, and employment law. Prior to joining Evergreen, she held executive HR positions in the technology and banking industries. A resident of Woodinville, Washington, Regina holds an MBA from the University of Phoenix with an emphasis in human resource management and a bachelor of arts degree in German from the University of Oklahoma.
