On Saturday, August 24th, Evergreen associates were out walking or running to benefit the Alki Beach 5K which supports the Northwest Hope and Healing Foundation and women battling breast cancer.  Associates participated in the event while also handing out chips and refreshments to those who stopped by the Evergreen tent. “It was a fantastic day,” said Evergreen Loan Coordinator Assistant Lorraine Wesolowski. It was wonderful to walk around the West Seattle waterfront and know we were celebrating and helping survivors of breast cancer.” “I can’t think of a better way to spend our weekend than to support this worthy cause with my Evergreen family,” commented Evergreen Loan Officer Lynda Willis.

Each year since 2005, Evergreen has sponsored the event which helps raise funds for those with breast cancer. Proceeds of the event give patients hope to encourage healing through the Northwest Hope & Healing non-profit organization which was founded in 2000 to help newly diagnosed breast cancer patients in the Puget Sound area.
